Kittens are raised in my home and are an integral part of the household. I actively socialize them daily. They are exposed to dogs, other cats, household noises and kids. I provide a quality, complete and balanced species appropriate diet to my adults. I believe cats (as obligate carnivores) thrive best on a raw diet, which provides optimal nutrition for excellent health and immunity. Understanding that not all pet parents are comfortable with a raw diet, I feed the kittens a variety of low carbohydrate/grain-free high quality, protein-rich canned diet. I really like Wellness Core, Nature’s Variety Original Kitten and Almo Nature canned foods. I do not recommend dry food for many reasons. I minimally use freeze-dried treats (Purebites, Orijen) and air-dried treats (ZiwiPeak) for training rewards, after nail trims/baths and for enrichment treat toys.
